"Lean"
Acrylic on Canvas, 30x40”
In this painting, I put all my worries and scary thoughts onto the canvas after a really tough time with my health.
It was like my brain was stuck in a never-ending worry storm, and I was scared about what health-crisis could happen next.
In one of my darkest moments my amazing wife helped me through it all.
She was like a superhero with her love and support, making me believe everything was going to be okay.
So I picked up my paintbrush and let all my feelings spill out.
It turned out to be a representation of two figures, one leaning on the other for support.
That’s the beauty of trusting the process - every time I set out to be authentic - something amazing always happens on the canvas.
This painting is about those tough times and how someone special helped me get through them.
